the thought was we did not want to bury students with prerequisites. this class requires db skills, web development skills and programming skills. keep in mind if i am going over the vb stuff too quick to let me know and i'll slow down. i contrast vb.net w/vb6 because many in the class have had vb6 and that will help them thru. this is not however, required. i'll go over vb.net more on tues. the good news is conceptually it is similar to javascript (assignment statements, if's loops, etc...)
